Babylon, designed as a multipurpose performance space, is the premier live music venue in Turkey. Top international names from jazz, latin, brasillian, reggae, world music, electronica spectrum are staged on weekends along with international DJ sessions. Local bands hit the stage on weekdays. Babylon, which has adopted a leading role within the urban cultural life of Ýstanbul since its inception in 1999, has also been the long-awaited spark and has been indispensable in the process of recreating, restructuring and reanimating the Asmalýmescit-Tünel neighborhood of downtown Istanbul.Babylon is taking proposals for 2006.
