Peter Noble
As festival director, Peter Noble stages the East Coast Blues & Roots Music Festival held every Easter in Australia's idyllic Byron Bay beachside community. Peter has overseen the Festival from its inception, building the Festival into one of the world's best which possesses an enviable reputation for excellence amongst musicians, industry heavyweights and concert goers internationally. It was through Peter that Soul, jazz, blues and reggae artists found a home, a promoter and a wide audience in Australia for the first time. Peter coined the term Blues & Roots Music Festival in 1998 to encompass the growing reach and flavour of the festival - a term which would soon find common usage throughout the Australian music industry.
An avid record industry pundit, Peter Noble also owns the record label AIM, and over the years has produced recordings by Sonny Stitt, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Herb Ellis and Ray Brown, Henry Vestine (Canned Heat), Marva Wright and The Wild Magnolias.
