Pablo Lapidusas.
Born in Buenos Aires, pianist, composer and arranger Pablo Lapidusas moved at an early age with his family to Brazil. At that time, started his piano studies at Conservatorio Municipal de Pocos de Caldas MG.
In 1997 he got his degree in Arts (Music) from respected State University Unicamp, initiating his solo carreer playing all over the country. Pablo has been living in Rio de Janeiro since 2001, either playing as a soloist or as a sideman for many MPB and international musicians such as Eugene Friesen, Victor Biglione, Marcelo D2, Quarteto em CY, Wanda Sa, Lars Hoefs, Armen Ksajikian, Eduardo Dussek and Celia Vaz, among others, having also played with famous I Musici canadian orchestra conducted by Russian Yuli Turovsky in 2008. In his solo performances in Brazil and abroad, Pablo teaches Master classes as a complement to his work. Invited to take part of Solo piano 2008 series festival, Pablo shared the stage with Cesar Camargo Mariano, one of the most renowned brazilian pianist/composer /arrangers. "Ourico" is his first recording of his own compositions and was released in April 2008 with special guests Hermeto Pascoal and Carlos Malta, welcomed by critics and public all over the world.
