The "picotage" is a form of embellishment
used by bagpipe players to enrich melodies
and to confer a stronger rhythm to the dances.
So the bagpipe, together with the hurdy-gurdy,
is the leading feature of this band that
re-enacts the kind of repertoire more suitable
to these instruments. The songs we listen to
throughout the concert come from Bretagne,
Provence, Gascony, Auvergne, Morvan, Berry,
Savoye, etc... This ensemble will lead you
through an enchanting journey in the various
areas of France; you will discover ancient and
evocative dances such as bourée, rigoudun,
an dro, scottish, farandole.
