Oomaigoosh pays tribute to the Persian pop icon Googoosh, the undisputed superstar of Persian pop, playing her hits from the 60s and 70s, when Iran was still a land where people were dancing and singing in the streets. Far from being just a cover band, though, Oomaigoosh puts it's very own unique touch to the songs, and has also started to work with own material in the same style.
The band is led by Bahare Razekh Ahmadi, who spent her youth in Iran. Besides singing, she is one of Sweden's leading actresses. Though the band has existed little more than a year, they have already done lots of very appreciated concerts across Sweden.
