This Pro Arte Flute project was created in 1989 on the initiative of the teachers Tina Pereira and Claudia Ernest Dias in the school os Semináriis de Música da Pro Arte, in Rio de Janeiro. Today, it embraces two groups: the Woodwind Orchestra of Pro Arte, composed of young professional musicians with technical and artistic knowledge fairly accurate and the Pro Arte Flute, teenagers who are taking their first steps in a training orchestra, but already demonstrate great talent.
After a year of long study, the Woodwind Orchestra and the Pro Arte Flute premiered their latest work "Ituaçu - Gilberto Gil" in honor of this great Brazilian composer.
