Drummer, percussionist, composer and arranger.
Roberto Rutigliano was born in Argentina in 1958 and in 1988 moved to Rio de Janeiro.
Always stood out for his interest in various projects, his musical taste includes from classical music to contemporary Brazilian music and its current ancestor, Cuban, tango and jazz ..
n 2005 participated in the first "festival drums Montevideo" alongside names like Daniel and Osvaldo Fattoruso Volpini.
He played in the group Xekere (three discs), with Rio Latin Jazz duo with flutist Odette Ernest Dias (recording produced by Egberto Gismonti), played with musicians like Hermeto Pascoal and Yamandu Coast. In 2010 the show performed Tribute to Bill Evans alongside Dario Galante and Bruno Migliari.
In 2011 played in Argentina with Adriana Rios in the show "World Jobim" in Brazil and with the quartet "Reciclassico" next to Ana Oliveira, Thomas and Tony Botelho Improta recreating classics of Brazilian music as F.Mignone and H. Villa Lobos.
Performs a tribute to Elvin Jones alongside Fernando Trocado, Idriss Boudrioua Diamond and Ronaldo.
Leads a concert in tribute to Miles Davis with the trumpeters as Altair Martins, Jose Paulinho Arimathea and trumpet.
He leads the quintet with Thomas Improta, Fernando Trocado, Paul Russo with a repertoire focused on the work of John Coltrane with participation of musicians like Jefferson Lescovich and Widor Santiago.
Also plays a repertoire of Brazilian music and his own compositions in a trio with the pianist and bassist Pablo Lapidusas Bruce Henri.
Currently is preparing to travel to Switzerland and play along Gabriela Bergallo for a show of Latin American music with the band Latin Jazz Ensemble.
