Fira Mediterrània of Manresa (Catalonia/Spain) is an interdisciplinary (music, theatre, circus and dance performance) trade fair for new artistic creations inspired by Catalan and Mediterranean cultural traditions roots. The main aim of Fira Mediterrània is to help the selected artists to be contracted by attending delegates (1.250 delegates coming from 28 countries). Every year there are usually about 120 groups and companyies and 250 shows and other activities.
Fira Mediterrània generates an induced economic impact -studied by University of Deusto- of over 9 million € at arts and culture sector. Each euro invested by public institutions gives seven € in return. In 2009 Fira Mediterrània made 1.650 artistic contracts possible.
