Jordi Bertran has a degree in Catalan Studies and is a cultural manager since 1985. He has been cultural manager for the City of Tarragona (Catalonia/Spain) for 24 years (1985 - April 2009). He was Artistic Director of the Fira Mediterrània in Manresa (Catalonia/Spain) from 2001 to 2005, and a member of the artistic commission in 1999 and 2000. Nowadays he is the Artistic Director of Festival Internacional de Música Popular Tradicional in Vilanova i la Geltrú(Barcelona/Catalonia) -the oldest world music festival in Spain; it was created in 1981-, and manager of the Manresa Fira Mediterrània Foundation.
