It is with great honor and pleasure that we announce one of the most important events in the Brazilian music business and to Brazilian music in general. The International Independent Music Fair of Brasilia (Feira Internacional da Música Independente de Brasília - FMI) is the first music and business fair devoted to the independent recording industry in Brazil, and it seeks to help reorder and update the legal and commercial production processes related to the independent musical art form.

A new wave is leading to the reorganization of the chain of music production. Artistic independence, propelled by easy technological access, has opened up parallel routes to mainstream music, and has shown its capacity to reach and conquer new markets.
