FOLQUÉBEC is a not-for-profit organization that has developed a unique and highly successful model for the international promotion of folk music and dance made in Québec. Since its creation, the organisation has championed both up-and-coming and established artists via participation at trade shows and conferences in Canada, the United States and Europe. Folquébec produces annual compilations and in autumn 2005 will launch an online directory of Québec folk artists featuring singers, musicians and dancers from a multitude of cultures and styles.
