Since it commenced in 1980, and with the continuous effort of "Peña Flamenca Melón de Oro", becomes, every August, the most awaited event due to the innovation and promotion of young values of flamenco singers. For these reasons, it was declared of "Interés Turístico Regional" (Regional Tourist Interest). The importance and prestige of the Festival acquires levels of high consideration thanks to the selection of the most outstanding figures of the national flamenco scene and the presence of "La Ferreña", created by Juan Valderrama and interpreted and dignified by well known artists like Fosforito.
