Manuel Luna is a researcher, musician and
interpreter of popular, roots and peasant-like
music, who together with his band "La Cuadrilla
Maquilera" have recorded eight albums. Their
compositions combine authenticity elements
with the most state-of-the-art contributions to
the field of instrumentation and musical
arrangements. Their repertoire gathers most of
the popular chord-phonic music from the Spanish
peasant-like traditional bands. They have
participated in countless festivals and
television/radio programs in countries such as
Portugal, Greece, Turkey, France, Italy, Norway
and Spain. Nowadays, Manuel Luna is the
director of the Spanish "Radio 3" program "La
Taratana" (before known as "Iberfolk") dedicated
to Spanish roots music.
