Raquel Peters was born in 1984, at Albufeira.
She studied singing, piano and musical formation for 10 years at the "Conservatorio de Musica de Faro" and the "Conservatorio de Musica de Albufeira".
On the 3th December of 2005, she wins the "Grande Noite do Fado", organized by the "Casa da Imprensa", at the "Teatro Municipal de S. Luiz", in Lisbon.
She had participated at the tribute program to Amalia Rodrigues "Amalia e Impossivel Esquece-la", broadcasted by RTP-1, at the "Panteao Nacional", on 6 of October of 2004 (fifth anniversary of Amalia's death).
Raquel Peters had been often invited to perform at several TV programs such as "Natal dos Hospitais", "Praca da Alegria" and "Portugal no Coracao" (RTP-1), and "Fatima" (SIC).
She has already performed in Brazil, Spain, Cape Verde and four Australian cities (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Canberra).
On March and April of 2007, she joined, as a guest artist, the Portuguese tour of argentinean singer Marisa Santos.
In parallel with her fadista's career, Raquel Peters has finished her university degree in Clinic Psychology.
