Born in 1966, in Brasil, he move to Portugal in the 80's, where he integrated, as a scholarship, the Jazz School of the "Hot Clube de Portugal", in Lisbon. Since then, he had collaborated with several names of the Portuguese Music. Beyond his own formations: Ze-di-Zastre, Ficcoes, Piazzollando, he made part of and recorded with Rui Veloso, Dulce Pontes, Sergio Godinho, Jose Mario Branco, Resistencia, Amelia Muge, Maria Joao and Mario Laginha.
In the foreign scene he had collaborated with Paulo Moura, Cliff Korman, Rick Lathan, John Stubblefield, Frank Colon, among many others.

Nowadays he works with Jan Garbarek, and with Trilok Gurtu or Manu Katche and Rainer Bruninghaus.

In his project he had the participation of Filipe Raposo, Vicky, and Johannes Krieger.
