Information about GDS Promotions

Hello Everyone,
2005 was my third visit to Womex and most enjoyable. I am not able to visit Womex 2006 but plan to be back in 2007. I am a relatively small Promoter and each Concert takes 6-12 month to prepare.Each Concert has been very sucessful for the Artist and Audience. All my expenses have to be met through ticket sales which is a struggle as you can imagine. My July 2006 Promotion with the Rajasthani Folk Musicians was extremely sucessful in Chelmsford, Essex Uk. This is not a commercial money spinner but a Labour of Love.I have a long waiting list of Artists/Friends and will find it difficult to take on more Artists. I am looking for Festival Organisers/Venues who can give my Artists bookings in the UK and I will give all the promotional/marketing support necessary. A Box Office Split is my usual way of hiring a Hall but there are exceptions. I am registered with the Foreign Entertainers Unit and make quarterly Returns. Because of passed concerts there have been recordings as a direct result of reviews. I am capable of dealing with all aspects of a Promotion from start to finish.
