Genticorum is een trio dat zo ongelofelijk energiek tekeergaat dat je vaak bijna niet kunt geloven dat hier maar drie muzikanten aan het spelen zijn. Traditionele Franstalige muziek uit Quebec wordt gemengd met Amerikaanse folk, waarin ook jazzy elementen zitten. Ook hoor je er zeemansliederen in weerklinken. Ze spelen traditionals, aangevuld met veel eigen werk. De drie mannen zingen fantastisch samen, maar zijn ook alledrie meesterlijke muzikanten. Ze maken onweerstaanbare muziek, waarbij de percussie, net als bij La Bottine, door de voeten verzorgd wordt. Je hebt onmiddellijk de neiging met je eigen voet mee te gaan tikken, en onwillekeurig verschijnt er na een paar nummers een brede grijns op je gezicht. Heerlijke muziek, van een band die zich met de grote namen kan meten.
