The young band from Barcelona Costo Rico after 4 years career, releases his debut album El Patio, an amazing array of musical styles like rumba, reggae and ska, brought a new and fresh sound among “crossbreeding” music. The production of the discographic work was directed and mixed by Martín Fucs, ex-member of Macaco band. Costo Rico’s album, contains 9 original tracks to get you dancing!… composed of the rhythm of big percussions, guitares, festive’s touch of wind instruments and a duo of male and female voices; added drums and basses and you have all the ingredients to be in festive mood until the end of the night!!! In spite of his youthfulness, Costo Rico played in big events like II Festival Mundial de la Juventud in Panamá, Festival Intercultural of Mostar (Bosnie) and BAM 2002 of Barcelona. They appeared in a few compilations which have become a reference in the crossbreeding scene in Barcelona, like Barcelona Zona Bastarda and La Colifata (collective of bands from Barcelona which released a compilation directed by Manu Chao to give financial funds to psychiatric hospitals in Argentine). Enchanting debut from Costo Rico, a new talent to discover, emergent young musicians with great international expectations. Costo Rico has been participating of most of the important festivals in Europe this summer. Like “Pole Pole Gehnt” (Belgium) + Amparanoia, “Pole Pole Beach” (Belgium), “Sucré Salé” Nantes (France), “Music sur la Ville” Chalons en Champagne (France), “Senglar Rock” (Spain), “Mercat de Música Viva de Vic” (Spain), etc… We cannot forget the European Tour they've done to finish up the 2004. 15 concerts that have taken Costo Rico to different cities and countries. 2005 has been even better. Visiting festivals in countries like Sweden, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, over 25 festivals and 100 concerts.
