CALIMA, there is a whisper...a little sound that talks about Calima...
Calima moves itself between different rythms, constantly investigating without loosing the "soniquete", the charm and the groove. Calima´s live show consolidates itself as a multicultural discharge, an innovating spectacle that dresses itself of elegant, modern and ethnic funky.
Calima breathes and transmits freshness, spontaneity, light and colour.
Ending year 2007 with a grammy nomination thanks to "Azul", their previous album, 2008 has meant for Calima his worldwide evolution, sucessfully performing at the best European festivals.
Currently Calima is realising their new Album "Tierra" (Land in english) an album that sails with Flamenco and swims over the mediterranean to Africa´s coasts, always havind enough sensibility to all cultures. We are talking about an album that draws rumba, soul, falmenco, latin, rap, bossa and jazz.
For this album, Calima counts on with gipsy musicians such as Todor Todorov (Bulgary), Bachu Khan (Rajastan, India) and also with fabolous voices such as Chambao and Bebe.
The albums graphic desing completes he shape and colour if this new album "Tierra under the hands of Laurita from "Los peces de colores productions".
Tierra (Land) is the name of Calima´s new album
Tierra (Land) because Calima has roots now.
Tierra (Land) because Calima is the wind loaded with desert´s sand.

Tierra as well as "Azul" (the previous album) is produced by Juanlu "El canijo". Juanlu is a recognized producer because of its career as bass player, composer and producer of Ojos de Brujo, Macaco, Amparanoia etc.
