AGUA PA LA TIERRA (WARNER 2009)

After one year away from stages, and with two albums behind, Canteca de Macao presents their third album "Agua pa la tierra" with twelve songs regarding music, life, planet, water and wine. Away from predetermine styles Canteca de macao doesn´t do anything pure, no Flamenco, no rock, no ska, no punk, no heavy, no reggae, no salsa, no jazz, becoming this lack of pureness the most atractive virtue of this band and the key of succes among all kind of publics.

Produced by Fernando Illan, a well known producer in Spain (Rosario Flores, Raimundo Amador etc), "Agua pa la tierra" (Warner music 2009) its a big step forward in Canteca de macao´s career, that away from all the course of the mainstream have achieved in very few years to build themselves as one of the most emblematic bands in Spain, with a big power of moving people, guarantees by tours of more than 90 concerts per year all over the world.

The first track of this album "Musica" with latin sounds, flamenco tones and a chorus imposible to forget, crystallizes the energy, happiness and savoir fair of this band, which its sound, imposible to define, invite you to party and to constantly enjoy.
"El atonte del Vino" a wink to a daring colpa that ends up in party, or rocksteady tracks as green yin that reinforce the vivacity of the album. Still we must not forget the content, always with a subtle demand, in songs as "Madriz" or "Se va y no vuelve".

The elegant note of this album comes with songs as "La Lumbre", a soft voice nana with deep lyrics capable of bringing out emotions, "Jazzmin" which its mixture of african, latin rythims and rock "n" rol backstitchs talk to us about love, Bulerias as "Caños" or the sounds and epic lyrics of "Agatea" that take us, as a film soundtrack to numerous scenes.

Canteca de Macao proves in this album a positive evolution that accompanied with the fervor of their live shows, wont leave anybody with indifference.
