TRADSPACE – is Ireland’s principal professional showcase, conference and trade fair of traditional Irish music. This event brings together professionals from the genres of folk, roots and traditional music and plays a vital role in the promotion of Irish music and culture worldwide.
Aimed at everyone with an interest in Irish traditional music, including concert and festival bookers, programmers, labels, producers, managers, agents, press & musicians - TRADSPACE is to become an essential event on the music industry calendar.
TRADSPACE takes place in early July each year in Ennis, Co. Clare. Situated in the heart of mid-west Ireland, Co. Clare is renowned for its wealth of Irish traditional music. It is home to a large number of legendary groups and individuals such as, the Kilfenora and Tulla Céilí Bands, Stockton's Wing, Sharon Shannon and Martin Hayes.
The county hosts many traditional music festivals. The most eminent of these is the Willie Clancy Summer School. This festival is Ireland's largest traditional music summer school and it attracts up to a thousand students from all over the world to attend daily classes in Irish music and dance. It is also famous for the impromptu music sessions that happen continuously as the best musicians in the country come together for the annual festival. This is the ultimate 'back to roots' festival and musicians rarely miss it. TRADSPACE immediately precedes this celebrated event.

The nerve centre of TRADSPACE is glór Irish Music Centre. This venue was built in recognition of the area's musical heritage and contribution to Irish traditional music.

The event opens on the Friday night with a lifetime achievement concert celebrating the musical achievements of a worthy recipient each year. TRADSPACE continues the following day with attendees doing business in the Trade Show and participating in a full agenda of informative panel discussions and workshops featuring a wide range of speakers of international status. Bands, acoustic groupings and solo acts will be showcased throughout the day in various venues across the town.
