DJ Grace Kelly

Lives since 1996 in Berlin. She was fascinated by the multicultural Metropole. And here she plays the music from her afrobrasilian native country Bahia: Latin, Brasil, with influences of Drum'n'Bass and Latin-electro. in Berlin she learned about Oriental and eastern European music, which has become now a regular part in her music-mix.

In Bahia/ Brasil Grace Kelly has always played the drums at parties and feasts. In Berlin she sings in the "Brasil Ensemble" and plays in the Girlband: "Rainhas do Norte", As well as in "Furiosas" Berlin. These are Bands, that bring the power of brazilian rythms to germany. On stage, they present with great joy and fun the traditional rhythms and variety of brazilian music. For example in the sommergarten at pfefferberg and at the Karneval der Kulturen,....

Grace Kelly was part of the carnaval of the cultures of Berlin, from the start. She was a dancer with "Afoxé Loni ". The Group that leads the carnavals city rally, out of competition, and is a real highlight of the event.
During the aftershow-parties of Afoxé Loni, Grace Kelly started working on the decks, turntables and mixers and became a professional DJ.
In the year 2000 the theme of the anual "Heimatklänge" was "Brazil" and Grace Kelly became one of this summers most famous Djs. She performed in front of masses of people at the tempodrom, Ostbahnhof.

Since that time, she hits the decks, together with DJ IPEK, the LaRegla Djs, and other wellknown names of Berlins Worldbeat scene.


2003, DJ Grace Kelly had established her own permanent Party Event: "mundo mix", the total-global-party, located at the PFEFFERBERG, HAUS 13, doors open: every month, the second saturday.

On april 10th, 2004, the event celebrated a hilarious One-year birthday- Party.

In spring 2004 she experienced an overwhelming success in her home country Bahia, when she played the right tunes in Trancoso, a wonderful beach-town. She entertained the dance-crowds in bars , Discos and on the beaches in a permanent row of huge fun-parties.
