Green Man Festival

Now in its eighth year, The Green Man is Wales’s leading contemporary arts and music event, with an international reputation attracting discerning music lovers from across the globe. Previous acts include Doves,Flaming Lips,Joanna Newsom, Beirut, Billy Bragg, Tindersticks, Mumford And Sons, F*ck Buttons, Efterklang, Laura Marling and Wild Beasts. Our music policy is eclectic and combines the current trends with the traditional, showcases the avantgarde and celebrates musical heritage, and includes genres and styles such as electronica, Nu-Folk, contemporary popular bands and psychedelia, and especially the emerging 'next big thing.' The festival also has a line-up of comedy, film, literature, science and the UK’s only 24-hour festival drinks licence and a range of locally sourced organic gourmet food.
We support the international promotion of Welsh music and are at WOMEX with the Welsh Music Foundation, Wales Art International and other Welsh colleagues backing their bid to host WOMEX in Cardiff in 2013.
We are also interested in meeting contemporary music producers, festival organisers, agents, promoters and DJs from India (principally Mumbai and Shillong.)
