JAZOO have stayed faithful to their original genre throughout their existence, though changing and evolving with time. That is the main reason why JAZOO are labeled as a legendary, one-of-a-kind and original ethno-jazz-fusion band, slowly breaking the limits of mainstream music.

Their music is hard to define. Many critics place them into the jazz genre, however the band members like the term &8220;improvised music&8221; more, where jazz intertwines with elements from ethno, electronic, fusion, ambiental and nu-jazz. Recently the listeners can sense an influence of Scandinavian jazz, but with diversity in contrasts and dynamics.

Their original music is full of surprises and is mainly instrumental, because the band wants to follow their primary direction. Vocals are present, but other instruments do not let them take over the main part. JAZOO have no limits set. They surrendered themselves to creativity and the freedom to create, what provides them with infinite power and inspiration.

The third album DETACHED, as both ON TIME (2002) and RETRO FUTURE (2005), was released through Membrane Records from Zuerich in May 2008.
