Telmary Diaz @ Cuban Music Awards, London 08.11.07
The best of this year's Cubadisco, the most prestigious music event in Cuba, on
Thursday 8th November 2007, featuring INTERACTIVO and TELMARY DIAZ bringing
their ground-breaking fusion of Cuban rhythms, beats, hip-hop and jazz to
FLORIDITA, 100 Wardour Street, London W1 for a special one-off appearance.
Interactivo, the collective based around four of Cuba's most talented young
musicians - pianist, composer, arranger and bandleader Roberto Carcassés,
singer-songwriter William Vivanco, sonero and composer Francis del Río and
poetess and rapper Telmary Díaz - will be appearing on stage together for the
first time since their celebratory concert at the Cuban Music Awards in May
2006.
Having won a Cuban Music Award in her own right in May 2007 and after a year of
touring internationally in places as far a field as Japan, Columbia and Canada,
TELMARY will be hot-footing it from show-casing at this year's WOMEX in Sevilla,
will additionally play a set from her album 'A DIARIO', with the rest of
INTERACTIVO joining her on stage.
