Bridging Cultural Differences

Bosphorus & Mode Plagal, Beyond the Bosphorus
Nikiforos Metaxas, artistic director and leader of the Turkish-Greek ensemble Bosphorus, and the Bosphorus & Mode Plagal joint project, was awarded by the Brussels based NGO European Centre for Common Ground, as this year's winner of The European Award for Bridging Differences through the Arts.
Metaxas does research, for close to 20 years, on the differences and similarities between Greek and Turkish music.
