It all begins with a voice and a guitar. That's all you need to write a song. Steel strings, nylon strings, vocal cords...plain and simple songs at the crossroads of folk, blues and pop. Melody is the main thing. Songs about love, life and death, hometown, laziness, childhood days... Some tunes are low-key, in a "close to the bone" form, some others offer lush arrangements; little choir, cello, violin, flute, mandolin, double bass and drums.

Every player brings his colour, his rhythm, his heart to the songs, giving a wide range of musical flavours. "If I tell you a story/Are you ready to hear me?/If this song is about you/Won't you believe that I'm true?"...If you're ready for a trip to Melodyland, then you can slide slowly into each song and "cross the strings"...through the music. And we promise that the journey is worthwhile.

Leo (Pierre Leonard) is a belgian songwriter born in Liege, Belgium. Since his early efforts in 1982, he founded many groups like "Where Is China?"(a post-new wave band), "Glasnotes"(a blend of rock, funk and jazz), "Peter & The Lions"(his first pop project), "Sing Sing" (an a capella quartet in french with a touch of ironic wit), and lately "The Groove Bus"(a funk/soul combo with his own groovy compositions).

"Crossing The Strings" is his second solo album. The first,"True Lies", has been released in 2004 on the same label
