Thursday 27 Oct 2011:
This time the trip will at first take us to the depths of Andalusia where three generations of flamenco musicians reveal the mystery of the gypsy soul in "Good singing hurts".
Then on the other side of Gibraltar "The Griot" of Senegal raises his voice, poetically unveiling the traditional past of West Africa.
In contrast "Global Local - Forays into a new music scene in Cologne" discovers a flourishing new musical landscape in Germany - a thrilling fusion between various musical traditions and global modern tendencies.

Friday 28 Oct 2011:
The second screening day is mainly dedicated to women:
"My sweet canary" picturing the unique and biggest rebetiko singer Rosa Eskenazy with three young musicians tracing her steps in the streets of Istanbul, Thessaloniki and Athens.
"The Godmother of Rock & Roll Sister Rosetta Tharpe": a hurricane like gospel-e-guitar-phenomenon that significantly shaped the face of Rock & Roll.
"Calypso Rose The Lioness of the Jungle": the manifold life story of a woman who is the ambassador of Caribbean Music emblematically embodying the history of an entire culture.
Finally "Frekuensia Kolombiana" brings along traditional Columbian music and the rapped message of South America's youth.

Saturday 29 Oct 2011
The last screening day begins in Morocco and medieval Spain coated with the melody of Arab Andalusian music "with Nuba as its symphony..." in "Nuba of Gold and Light".
"When the Drum Is Beating" features a 62 year old Haitian big band and charts the moving history of Haiti.
"Dharohar (A Legacy)" the story of an India based project and what it takes to make cultural and religious divides melt through the sound of music.
Creole Cousins - A portrait of Lindigo in Brazil depicts the common musical inheritance brought by African ancestors leaving a trace all the way from La Reunion to Brazil.
The Baroque Nomade in Ethiopia, on the encounter with the Azmari takes us back to the 17th century in Abyssinia to discover a remarkable co-existence between European Music and Ethiopian Azmari art.
