The Imatra Big Band Festival (IBBF) has been one of Finland´s most vibrant music festival for 28 years. Over this time, the increasing influence of rhytmic music has enriched the big band sound.

In addition, the festival offers a variety of jazz music along with blues, funk, rock, soul, latin & world music etc. And besides the big bands, the programme features also a rich variety smaller combos from all over of the world.

In the year 2011 IBBF will be arranged for the 29. time from 1st to 9th July.There will be about 50 concerts and approximately 600 musicians and 60 ensembles will gather in Imatra.
