Oído Medio is a transdisciplinary artistic collective that explores the space-time relationship in the staging.
Our current lines of research are the production of multi-format works, in which structural strategies of music are applied to the management of time in the composition of a piece.
We understand staging, as a crossing point between the amalgam of materialities and the spectator.
We understand composition as a decision in the creative process, in which sound but also light, space, image, body, action and text converge in a poetic, non-hierarchical and intentional territory, submitting to the rigor of time as a unifying principle.
We arbitrarily address the space -physical, connotative, fictional- as the point of origin for each project. From the space emerges the methodological process that culminates in a work intimately linked to it.
We try our audience to perceive our work in the same way they do with music, with its inexactitude and constant present. As a permanent transition between the abstract and the concrete, rescuing the elements structural that mean it as a whole.
