In 2005, Jose Bennett traveled to Barcelona, Spain, where he presented his music in several places, being the Barcelona Subway his most important stage for more than two years. Later, he performed in different bars and concert halls until he decided to captured his experiencies into an album.
At the begining of 2010, Jose Bennett went back to Chile to work on his first album Called "La Hoja a la Rama". This album was recorded by Santuario Sonico recording studio together with the colaboration of Infanta Terrible record label and featuring distinguished chilean musicians such as Ignacio Farias (Elso Tumbay), Santiago Astaburuaga (ex La Media Banda), Pablo Vial and Mario Barrios (Gitano).
Among the musicians that influenced this composer are Tom Waits, Morphine, The Racounters, Johnny Cash, the argentinean group La Renga, Charly Garcia, and the chilean musicians Javier Barria and Leo Quinteros.
Jose Bennett is now in Spain, promoting his album composed of 11 songs in different stages, which are a mixture of pop, folks, blues and latin american influences.
