Since 2001 the singer, composer and guitar player Tamy is in the music scene of Vitória (ES), city in which she was born. From then on, she placed fist as a singer and composer at the new talents festivals of Banco do Brasil and Brazilian’s mobile company, Oi. In 2004 she released her first album "Soul Mais Bossa" distributed in Brazil by Tratore through the carioca label ScudPromo. In Europe, released with Tru-Thoughts english label, the tracks “Tanto Faz” and “Tudo Bem” in vinyl and cd compilations. After an 8 shows in London tour, such as the Brazilian Summer Festival and Nothing Hill Art Club, “Soul Mais Bossa” was released in Ukraine (www.winnerrecords.com) and Japan (www.flavour.org), where it was among the Brazilian music best sellers during months.
Tamy has played with many famous brazilian artists as João Bosco, Claúdio Zoli, Paralamas do Sucesso. Composed and recorded with Marcelinho da Lua the music “Transformação” that is in his second album by Deck Disc. She also composed and recorded the track “Azymuth with Donatinho, the son of the great bossa nova musician João Donato, that will be released in his first album in the end of 2007. Tamy has put the song "Que Pena", from the Soul mais Bossa CD, in the project “Smoking” that is a compilation of the Brazilian modern music launched in May 2007 by the label ST2. The musical style of this artist is the democratic Brazilian popular music that accepts different mixtures and textures. In her repertoire Tamy presents the compositions done during these years, and her influences like Elis Regina, Joyce, Joao Gilberto and Tom Jobim. The artist is preparing her second album for 2008.
