biography

Vocalist playing also stringed instruments (medieval fiddles, baroque violin), songwriter and journalist. Enthusiast of taking part in projects combining different music genres (early/contemporary /punk/traditional), e.g. Warszawa. Tribute to Joy Division (2007) and Etnofonie Kurpiowskie (2011). Guest performer of international music projects and festivals, such as Euro-Med Festival (HU/PL/SRB), Baltic Masters (DK), Korean–Polish Jazz Mosaics, No Man’s Land (NZ).
Jolanta is the frontwoman of MOSAIK, fusing traditional music of Poland and the Mediterreanian and Middle Eastern musical traditions. She composed and performed with ethno-punk group Pochwalone and took part in the R.U.T.A. project, awarded with Polityka’s Passport (category pop music), an annual Polish award presented by the weekly magazine Polityka. Jolanta is a winner of Golden Fiddle Special Award of New Tradition Festival of the Polish Radio.
Her most recent project: Singing songs in Polish with New Zealand jazz musicians.
