Despite the fact that the group is based in Florence, BIZANTINA's style has tight links with Southern Italian tradition and lately evolved towards a more sophisticated language already mature in "Zahir" (the third album). Stunning singer Michaela D'Astuto is sustained by a powerful mix of different Mediterranean influences and by a deep awareness that brought BIZANTINA to compose a theatre show (Orlando Tarantato) and a new studio album that is to be released next year.
