TAMBURELLISTI is the soul of Pizzica and Taranta tradition in itself. Pierpaolo De Giorgi (leader and singer) is a living-legend philosopher and aesthete; Serena D'Amato (dancer) is the most acknowledged and in-demand Italian artist in her field while rhythmic section was ever hailed as the most famous "tamburelli" playing number since ever. The group re-proposes ancient Greek monody, where vocal melodies are supported only by rhythmic section and light harmonic lines.
