The Warsaw Village Band experiments with its "roots", thereby creating exciting and entirely novel music that ranges from traditional to modern. The band's success is largely due to its members' great love for their national musical heritage and their determination to preserve that ancient musical tradition. This preservation is not mere restoration, however, but reanimation - as with "The Pogues" or "Les Negresses Vertes" - that is, breathing the spirit of the old songs into the present age.
