jazzahead! is an exhibition and meeting point for the international jazz scene. Since its premiere in 2006, the event has enriched the regional and national cultural scene with its high quality and diverse jazz as well as with international flair.
With its unique concept combining showcase festival, conference, exhibition and festival – all revolving around the central topic “jazz” – the event has become the must-go networking event for the global jazz scene. Norway, as partner country of jazzahead! in 2019, will be a central focus of the trade fair and festival.
During jazzahead!’s showcases, musicians get the chance to present themselves and their music in front of important industry professionals as well as to a broad audience. The 2019 edition of the event will consist of these showcase modules: German Jazz Expo (applicants from Germany), Norwegian Night (Jazz from Norway), European Jazz Meeting and Overseas Night (all areas outside of Europe).
Precondition for applying for a showcase slot is that the band/artist is proposed by a registered exhibitor, co-exhibitor or professional participant all days of jazzahead! 2019. Of course, bands/artists can register themselves as exhibitors, co-exhibitors (e.g. with an umbrella stand) or professional participants as well. After the registration it is very easy to create a profile and submit an application online via our website. The period for submitting applications will start at the End of September 2018.
