Arifa was founded in 2010 by musicians from Babylon, Istanbul, Bucarest and Amsterdam, original compositions and ancient melodies from Arab, Anatolian and Balcan tradition, combined with live electronics an contemporary improvised music.
Arifa's first CD: Beyond Babylon (2011) was very well received and the 2nd: Anatolian Alchemy (2012) also received raving reviews.
