The orphan child of a big band which succumbed to changing fashions and economics. Several members, led by José Bringues, decided to stick together, initially as a quartet and then a quintet.
The unusual line-up (saxophone, guitar, bongoes, hand-percussion) was a lucky accident.
More than a decade of playing together has created note-perfect, seamless harmonies, an almost telepathic interaction, improvisations which blend as if rehearsed a dozen times. "On stage we are closer than brothers", they say
