This year's "West meets East" concert, the last of the trilogy initiated in 2017 - to celebrate the famous albums of Ravi Shankar and Yehudi Menuhin, is announced even more exciting than previous editions.

We invite you to a new high-level meeting between classical music of India and Romanian classical music, in the spirit of the project initiated in 1967 by Ravi Shankar and Yehudi Menuhin.

• The artists will conclude the first performance in Romania of all Ravi Shankar's compositions for Indian violin and instruments, from the legendary trilogy "West meets East", the cornerstone of World music. We will listen to compositions from the famous Grammy Award-winning albums, not yet released at previous editions.

• We will taste known music from Romania, reborn in a new avatar. Udhai Mazumdar, Shankar's student, will present us new arrangements for violin and Indian instruments after works from us, this time inspired by the Transylvania space.

• Along with the classical music of North India, the concert will include compositions by Béla Bartók, musician chosen by Yehudi Menuhin to represent the West in the project of 50 years ago, together with George Enescu.

• The team of musicians will be joined by the French violinist Gilles Apap, a spectacular and creative virtuoso, who managed to impress Menuhin himself, who said with admiration that he is "the example of a 21st century musician".
