Jungle by Night is a young and swinging, promising band from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Friends, family and former strangers form a nine-headed ensemble, which is the talk of the town at this moment. Being different from the slipstream of young bands that find their
inspiration in British and American pop, Jungle by Night is inspired by music away from the mainstream. Their music is a mixture of Afrobeat from Nigeria and Jazz from Ethiopia, played with a Western rock attitude.

The band celebrated the release of their 7" E.T and the EP in a packed Melkweg concerthall. This was the kick off for a Summer full of wonderful memories. Jungle by Night rocked all major events in The Netherlands. Whether it where jazzfestivals such as North Sea Jazz, rock (Lowlands), World (Music Meeting/Mundial). The crowds went wild!
Some of the concerts where broadcasted by Dutch National radio and television and the band was highlighted in lots of reviews

Even though Jungle by Night performed all these major stages, the true highlights of this year where the concerts they played this Spring.

Jungle by Night was a support act for their musical heroes such as: Mulatu Astatke, Mayer Hawthorne, John Legend & the Roots, Fools Gold and Orchestre Poly Rhytmo.


This Fall they hosted a Fela Kuti Tribute in Paradiso Amsterdam. An event where Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 performed ass wel.

This Fall the first Full length album will be recorded. Release to be expected late April 2012 on Kindred Spirits
