Native New Yorker Alex Kadvan started his musical career as a cellist

performing and recording with both classical and popular artists such

as the New York Chamber Symphony, Joni Mitchell, Lou Reed, and Sheryl Crow. He shifted his attention towards management working with the New York Pops, the Mostly Mozart Festival and managing tours of Europe, Southeast Asia and the United States with the 27-member Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.



In 2002, Alex began working with Antibalas (2003 WOMEX Selection) and has since expanded the roster to include Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Bluesman Jeremiah Lockwood, the Ivan Milev Band, singer/songwriter Jamie Leonhart,

The Budos Band, Michael Leonhart and the Baby Loves Jazz Band.
