Shambala has grown from very humble beginnings- a party in a field for 150 friends- into a fully fledged festival attracting 10,000 people. It has grown organically through word of mouth alone and with out any advertising or sponsorship. It has strong ideals of community, sustainability, trust and respect. It presents over 120 bands every year as well as 60+ djs.
I have grown alongside this event and now run the entire music production, programming and booking of the event.
Alongside Shambala, i established a record shop and event company in Birmingham called Jibbering. This is just about to cewlebrate its 10th anniversary in November. After that, we have no idea where it will go!
