Hiding behind the name of this group are three thoroughbred musical characters with a penetrating and biting sense of humour. Vincenz Wizlsperger (poet, singer, comb player and tuba) is a master of all the registers of subtle comedy, indluding the tragic figure of an unleashed fool. Heinz Ditsch is a true virtuoso on the accordion and the singing saw. Paul Skrepek sits in the centre, smirking, and playing his Kontragitarre in his unbelievably laid-back fashion.
These three gents have "taken on" the genre of the Viennese song in their unique, absolutely merciless ironic manner. Their crumpled suits and old hats are a sighn of the morbid charme. The clipped dialogues seem like improvisations, the gestures ar in the scurrilous to the totally mad range.
