Son Kapital emerged from the Berlin- based group Marycones, which was a central element of the Ska- Reggae and World Music scene of the German capital for many years.
Being addicted to constant change and exploration, the four founding members brought "Son Kapital" into live in Summer 2010. What stays from "Marycones" is their energy and commitment on stage as well as their passion for ska and reggae music. At the same time "Son Kapital" is much more a global traveller, including more and more influences like Romani- music, Dubstep, Cumbia and Jazz into their musical language.
