No time has passed since SKA-P's "impasse" announcement and we already have "Pipi", their singer/showman, putting up an impressive set with a solid and contagious band.

Events rushed between the stop of a band and the begining of the new one. Pipi decided to keep on rehearsing and performing instead of facing apathic reflections, compulsive rest or excruciating breakdowns. Everybody (including himself) would think it's absolutely crazy ("cosa de locos"), so there's
the name for the new band Pipi commands, THE LOCOS

Once mother band SKA-P's goodbye tour ended, Pipi didn't keep the material he had for a new studio record with SKA-P like old memories and decided to go on from that. His ideas and pieces of music developed until they became songs.

From his home in Vallekas (Madrid), as he saw his schedule book getting thinner, he began calling mates, dropping by bars and venues of Madrid's musical scene, looking for the skeleton that would hold up to the pirouettes, jumps and cavorts on his new compositions.

The first songs they introduce here are blasts of frenetic rhythm, anti-system messages, living colours of our daily wars. If we ask Pipi about influences, he won't get down from his longtime favourites: La Polla Records, Mano Negra, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Porretas, Rancid and Ska- P, of course.

Pipi has seamlessly assumed his now role, fronting a band, his own band, THE LOCOS, finding the character and the language, and adding his natural sense of the live act. Ska keeps being the predilected language. Ska with gas full on, mixed with furious punk and rhythmic hi-speed movement.
Possitive chiming and alter-globalization cures, understandable no matter what your language is.
