Biography

Born in 1988, in Athens, Greece, Natalia Kotsani had her first piano lessons at the age of six. Very early in her life, she realised what a great charm matching a piano and a voice exercised on her and began to build up her musical temperament. A few years later, she began classical piano lessons and modern singing lessons at the Greek National Conservatoire. She is currently attending the Classical Piano Class of Dionisis Mallouchos and the Theoretical Music Class of Charalampos Kanas in Athens Conservatoire. Martha Simeonidi, Elsa Kilpasi and Elli Paspala have been her singing teachers. In 2006, she began jazz and improvisation lessons with Stavros Lantsias, and thanks to him she began appreciating music composition at a new level and writing her own music. She has been the lead singer and keyboardist of various bands, in her attempt to experiment with different musical styles. During rehearsals, she met the composer Theodoros Dremetsikas, who suggested she records a song for the new release of the latest album of Assa Project called "The Passage of Time". She is currently in studio recording her debut album with T. Dremetsikas (music) and A. Pantazis (lyrics - poems) as a member of Assa Project. Since January 2012 she is a member of the band encardia. She is an undergraduate student of Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the National Technical University of Athens. Her main interests are Computer Science and the correlation of Art, Mathematics and Philosophy.
