Born in France as Bruno Garcia, the Sargento creates after an expedition to guitar music his own specific style of music: Salsamuffin a fresh and innovative mixture of Salsa, Reggae and Hip-Hop; funky African and Jamaican beats and melodies. Neither in his music nor on stage he denies his Spanish roots. He ventures the musical crossover between the Caribbean and Europe, Africa and South America. After the worldwide success CD's like Un Poquito Quemao (Higher Oct 1999), La Semilla Escondida (2003) and a greatest hits album, Sergent Garcia recorded Mascaras (Labels 2006) in Mexico with Toy Hernandez, one of the most prominent contemporary producers in the world of Latin music. Mascaras combined acoustic instruments and traditional styles, particularly cumbia, with electronic riddims.
Inspired by his tour in Columbia in April 2009 Garica focused again on the traditional columbian music and dance style Cumbia. In fall 2009 Garcia toured with a 5-piece acoustic group including bass, drums, keyboard, percussion and guitar. Garcia's acoustic project took people on a musical trip that comes past the Caribbean, Mexico, Cuba and Jamaica, but also Africa and Europe.

CD: Una y Otra Vez (march 2011 / Cumbancha)
