Zuco 103 have done it again. Their newest album, 'After the Carnaval', makes ears salivate and hearts jump. 'After the Carnaval' is Zuco 103's sixth album, partially recorded in Rio de Janeiro. Zuco 103 has moved away from sample-based music, which gives this album a natural, accoustic sound.
Zuco 103's new album 'After the Carnaval' has been nominated for the Edison Jazzism Public Choice Award. You can support Zuco by voting on their album at the website of the Edison Awards.
The new album has been released in France on June 2nd and the band followed in the footsteps of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones by performing at the mythically famous concert hall l'Olympia in Paris on the 21st of June. The evening was hosted by Parisian radio station FIP FM.
'After the Carnaval' has also been released in Italy.
Since the release of their best-selling album Tales Of High Fever in 2002, Zuco 103 aka singer/lyricist Lilian Viera, drummer/composer Stuv aka S. Kruger and keyboardist/composer Stefan Schmidt have been touring around the world, setting audiences on fire with their brilliant mix of live + electronic rhythms, fronted by Lilans's extraordinary voice and presence.
