Pilar Andújar, “LA GYPSY” is a songwriter, world music singer and a Flamenco dancer from Spain. She has the Green card and seeks a Manager or agency.
She began her dance training at the early age of seven and when she was eighteen years old, she moved to Madrid to become a profesional Flamenco dancer.
She graduated with a superior degree in Spanish Dance and Flamenco, a degree in Ballet and a Master of performing Arts.
She worked for years as a dancer and choreographer in the best companies as Riverdance, Antonio Gades and with her own company at the Instituto Cervantes in Istanbul (Turkey) or the International Festival of Baltic Ballet in the Latvian National Opera House in Riga, Latvia.
The Spanish government has brought her to perform in Spanish embassies in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hanoi, Vietnam.
The Company Carlota Santana Flamenco Vivo started to give her roles as a singer and her debut as a singer was in the Joyce Theater of New York in 2002.
In 2009, She moved to Austin and during her stay, Pilar danced and sang as a soloist with the world music group Atash in a very important Theaters of Texas-USA and also she was the main singer in her own Flamenco Company.
It wasn´t until 2011 that she decided to put her own songs out of the drawers and she started to record her first album that was finished in June of 2017.
The Spanish singer/songwriter from Almoradi-Alicante-Spain has done 7 tours around Usa in the most important theaters in America such as the "Discovery Theater" in (Anchorage-Alaska), "The Egg" (Albany-New York) or the "Joyce" Theater in (New York) among others.
“La última palabrita” won the first award for the competition “Nubo Film Production” and she has toured around USA, Algeria, Spain and Mexico.
The CD has been nominated in 7 different categories to the Min Awards 2018 (Independent music) from Spain.
The US has awarded her due to her curriculum and seventeen years dancing and singing in the country, "The green card" or American Residence for artistic records.
It´s fusion of traditional Flamenco with New Flamenco and pop has been called "Imperious, Dominant and Individual" by the New York Times of New York.
